Aeronautical Engineering B.E sem 6 syllabus

(1) Contributor Personality Development Program (3160002):

Rationale: introduction of personality development program

(2) IPDC - 2 (Integrated Personality Development Course) (3160003):

Rationale: introduction of integrated personality development

(3) Fundamentals of Jet Propulsion (3160102)

Rationale:

Jet Propulsion signifies the need of each component of jet engines and their physical significance which offers to students the knowledge required to understand the working of jet engines and rocket engines in aircraft industries.

(4) Basic Control Theory (3160104):

Rationale: In aircraft it is necessary to control three different types of axis i.e. yaw, pitch and roll. So in order to control such axis it is necessary to understand the basic concepts of control and its detailed theory.

(5) Theory of Vibration (3160109):

Rationale: Aerodynamics is one of the core areas in the field of aviation. The concepts of aerodynamics are vitally important to the aeronautical engineer. This course imparts fundamental knowledge regarding fluid and its properties, various types of airfoils and its characteristics.

(6) Composite Materials (3160112):

Rationale:

Composite materials are extensively used in aviation industry for the manufacturing of various parts of an aircraft. Composites are known to have high strength to weight ratio and they therefore become the material of choice for aircraft manufacturing.

There are several other benefits of using composite materials. This subject offers the knowledge and understanding of the engineering behavior of composite materials, preliminary design concepts and their appropriate use.

(7) Advance Aerodynamics (3160113):

Rationale: Aerodynamics is one of the core areas in the field of aviation. The concepts of aerodynamics are vitally important to the aeronautical engineer. This course imparts fundamental knowledge regarding fluid and its properties, various types of airfoils and its characteristics.

(8) Introduction to UAV (3160114):

Rationale: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle are developing aggressively, and many government and nongovernment agencies are considering acquiring such vehicle. This course imparts fundamental knowledge regarding manufacturing process of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, various types of payloads and its characteristics.

(9) Computational Fluid Dynamics (3161915):

Rationale: This is an introductory course in CFD. In this course, students will be exposed to basics of CFD.

Students will gain knowledge on FD/ FV strategy, formulation of the problem and solution techniques.

(10) Entrepreneurship and E-business (3161924):

Rationale: Entrepreneurship and e-business subject is introduced with motive to develop entrepreneurial attitude in today’s competitive environment. Further this subject creates awareness about adopted technologies in the business.
